Make a Difference One Teen at a Time

“I’m truly happy to be a part of this program which has sparked a fire within me and continues to open doors to build my dreams. I send my sincerest thanks to you for being the builders of my dreams. My family and I are deeply grateful for your support.” – Deysi, Reading Village Youth Leader

When you invest in Reading Village, you invest in Deysi and other young adults who are breaking the cycle of poverty in Guatemala. You enable them to finish their educations, pursue professional employment, assume leadership opportunities in their communities, and improve the quality of life for their families. All with a single gift.  Thank you for making a difference one teen at a time.

Want to witness the impact of your investment? Consider joining us on a Learning Journey to experience our work first hand.

Recurring Donations

Reading Village is engaged in long term partnerships with the communities where we work, and your loyalty makes that possible. A recurring monthly investment gives us the stability and continuity we need to grow our capacity and refine our impact.
$10/mo
With an annual donation of $120, you can provide literacy activities for a child for an entire year. In communities where 50% of children fail the first grade, building Spanish literacy skills can help a child be successful in school.
$21/mo
With an annual donation of $250, you can provide transportation to/from school for a teen for an entire year. Getting to school is critical to a teen's success. You can be a vehicle of change!
$42/mo
With an annual donation of $500, you can provide a one year high school scholarship to one teenager. In communities where only 10% of youth get to go to high school, this is life-changing.

Founder’s Fund to Ensure Staff Excellence

The Founder’s Fund in Honor of Linda Smith to Ensure Staff Excellence will be used for attracting the best and brightest Guatemalans to our staff and offering them world-class training in leadership development. Join us in honoring Linda’s dedication, unwavering effort and belief that people can stand in partnership to create positive sustainable change.
