Books for the Day Care Centers

There are two state-run day care centers in Concepcion, each with a limit of ten children and served by an uneducated “babysitter” and one teacher to share among the two sites.

We delivered a donation of books that came from an eight-year-old American girl adopted from Guatemala who asked for Spanish books instead of gifts at her recent birthday party.

One or two of our scholarshipped reading promoters will read with these children in the coming year.
